Yipiyap and Will Solicitors
Yipiyap is a tutoring company based in Altrincham, Cheshire, founded in 2012. It provides peer tuition in schools and online, working with schools as a National Tutoring Programme provider. Yipiyap trains gap year students as tutors and places them in schools and colleges, where they support young people in small groups, mostly in maths, English and science. Its programmes include Yipiyap Aspire, with a Train to Tutor course, and Peerscroller.
We have teamed up with Yipiyap because its people range from tutors just starting out to staff with homes and families of their own. Each stage needs something different, from a lasting power of attorney at 18 to a full will later on. As part of Yipiyap, your first consultation call is free with no obligation. Our fees are fixed and published, from £150 + VAT for a single will or £275 + VAT for a pair of mirror wills, and you know the price before any work starts.
Looking after the people behind the organisation
Yipiyap brings together two quite different groups: young tutors on a gap year and the experienced staff who train and support them.
If you are early in your working life, a will may feel premature, but a lasting power of attorney is worth knowing about at any age. Once you turn 18, your parents have no automatic right to manage your money or speak for you on medical matters if you are seriously ill. If you are further along, with a partner, children or a home, a will is how you make sure the right people are looked after. Either way, one call shows you what you need.
How we can help you and your family
Every service starts with the same free consultation call.

I am a gap year tutor with Yipiyap. Do I really need a will?
Not everyone your age needs one yet, and your adviser will tell you honestly if you do not. It depends on things like savings, a car, a partner or anything you want to go to a particular person. The free consultation call is a good way to find out, with no obligation to go further.
I am over 18. Can my parents make decisions for me if something happens?
Not automatically. Once you are an adult, nobody can manage your bank account or make health decisions for you unless you have given them the power to. A lasting power of attorney lets you choose who that is. It is often the most useful document for younger adults.
I have worked at Yipiyap for years and have a family. What should I consider?
A will lets you name who inherits your home and savings and who would look after your children. If you live with a partner but are not married, a will is especially important, because unmarried partners do not inherit automatically. Your adviser will talk through your situation and confirm the fixed fee before work starts.
It all starts with one free call
You talk it through with a named member of our team. We tell you what you actually need and what it will cost, and nothing goes ahead until you are happy.

- STEP 1Pick a time that suits youChoose a slot in our calendar, including evenings and Saturdays. It takes a minute and there is no form to fill in first.
- STEP 2Get a few things togetherWe tell you what to have to hand. Usually the names and addresses of the people you want to appoint and inherit, and a rough idea of what you own.
- STEP 3Approve your draftOnce you are happy with what we discussed, we prepare a draft for you to read and approve before anything is signed.
