Weaverham High School and Will Solicitors
Weaverham High School is an 11 to 16 academy on Lime Avenue in Weaverham, near Northwich in Cheshire. It has around 1,154 pupils and is part of the Sandstone Trust. The school's ethos is summed up in three words: Safe, Ready, Respect. It aims to be a vibrant community where every pupil feels valued, safe and supported to reach their potential, with a focus on kindness, high expectations, and building character and leadership through Years 7 to 11.
We work with Weaverham High School because more than a thousand pupils means a great many parents who want their children looked after, and a will is the only way to choose who does that. As a Weaverham High School parent, your first consultation call costs nothing and carries no obligation. Our fees are fixed and published, from £150 + VAT for a single will or £275 + VAT for a pair of mirror wills, and you know the price before any work starts.
Looking after the people behind the school
Weaverham High School has more than a thousand pupils, which means a great many families with children aged 11 to 16. At that age, children are growing more independent, but they still need someone to look after them if the worst happened.
A will is the only way to name that person yourself. It is also where you decide how any money for your children is held, so that an inheritance supports them through college, an apprenticeship or a first home rather than arriving all at once. Parents often put this off because it feels difficult. A plain conversation with an adviser usually makes it simpler than expected.

Questions from Weaverham High School parents
Cannot see yours? Ask it on your free consultation call.
I already have a will from before my children were born. Is it still fine?
It may not be. Older wills often do not name a guardian or set up a trust for children. If you have married, separated or moved home since, it may also be out of date. Weaverham High School parents are welcome to book a free call so an adviser can look at what you have and tell you whether it needs updating.
Can I leave money for my child's college or apprenticeship years?
Yes. Your will can hold money on trust and let trustees use it for your child's education, training and living costs, with the rest passing to them at an age you choose. Without a will, children generally inherit outright at 18. Your adviser will explain how a simple trust works before you decide.
Do I need a lasting power of attorney as well as a will?
A will only takes effect when you die. A lasting power of attorney covers the time while you are alive but unable to make decisions, perhaps after an accident or illness. It lets someone you trust deal with your money, or your health and care. Many parents put both in place together, and your adviser can explain each.
