MND Association
Here for everyone affected by MND.
MND Association and Will Solicitors
The MND Association supports people living with motor neurone disease, campaigns for better care and funds research into treatments and a cure. MND attacks the nerves that control movement, so muscles stop working, and there is currently no cure. The charity is here for everyone affected in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including carers, family members and children. It runs the MND Connect helpline, local branches and a network of more than 1,300 volunteers, with its registered office in Northampton.
We work with the MND Association because timing matters. A will and a lasting power of attorney are far easier to arrange while you can give clear instructions. Your first consultation call is free, and you are under no obligation. Our fees are fixed and published, from £150 + VAT for a single will or £275 + VAT for a pair of mirror wills, and you know the price before any work starts. If you would like part of your estate to help fund research, we write the gift in for you with the charity's correct name and number.
Looking after the people behind the charity
MND can progress quickly and can affect speech and movement. That is why timing matters for people living with the condition and for those close to them.
A will and a lasting power of attorney are much easier to put in place while you can give clear instructions in your own words. An LPA for health and care decisions lets someone you trust speak for you if you cannot. Families supporting someone with MND often find it helps to review their own wills too. And because the charity says gifts in wills provided almost a quarter of its income in 2025, a gift can fund the research its supporters hope for.
How we can help you and your family
Every service starts with the same free consultation call.

Questions from MND Association supporters
Cannot see yours? Ask it on your free consultation call.
Someone in my family has MND. How quickly can we get documents in place?
Tell us about the situation when you book and we will prioritise the consultation call. Your adviser can take instructions over the phone, prepare drafts promptly and explain how signing will work. If speaking or writing is becoming harder, we discuss practical ways to make sure the documents are signed and witnessed properly.
What can a lasting power of attorney cover for someone with MND?
There are two types. One covers property and financial affairs, such as paying bills. The other covers health and welfare, including decisions about care and treatment. Many people with a progressive condition choose both, so the people they trust can act smoothly when needed. Your adviser explains each in plain terms.
How do I leave a gift to the MND Association?
Mention it on your consultation call. We use the charity's full name, the Motor Neurone Disease Association, and its registered charity number so the gift is paid correctly. You can leave a set amount, a specific item, or a share of what is left once your loved ones have received their gifts.
It all starts with one free call
You talk it through with a named member of our team. We tell you what you actually need and what it will cost, and nothing goes ahead until you are happy.

- STEP 1Pick a time that suits youChoose a slot in our calendar, including evenings and Saturdays. It takes a minute and there is no form to fill in first.
- STEP 2Get a few things togetherWe tell you what to have to hand. Usually the names and addresses of the people you want to appoint and inherit, and a rough idea of what you own.
- STEP 3Approve your draftOnce you are happy with what we discussed, we prepare a draft for you to read and approve before anything is signed.
