J. Dauman and Will Solicitors
J. Dauman & Co is an accountancy firm based at Ealing Common in West London, working with clients across Ealing, Fulham, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Kensington and Paddington. It provides bookkeeping, self-assessment, payroll, VAT, corporation tax and capital gains tax work, along with company formation and business advice. It serves sole traders, limited companies, landlords, freelancers, start-ups, contractors, doctors and restaurants, and says it has more than 1,250 clients. The firm is part of the J. Dauman Group, a London business hub with legal, finance, logistics and Polish divisions.
Alongside the tax and accounts work you already get from J. Dauman, a will makes sure what you own passes where you intend, from a rental property to shares in your company. Your accountant knows the numbers, and we put the wishes in writing. As a J. Dauman client, you can have a first consultation call with us free and with no obligation. Our fees are fixed and published, from £150 + VAT for a single will or £275 + VAT for a pair of mirror wills, and you know the price before any work starts.
Looking after the people behind the firm
J. Dauman looks after the tax affairs of landlords, company directors and the self-employed. Those are often the people whose estates are more tangled than they look.
A rental property, shares in a limited company or a business run on your own can be hard for a family to deal with if there is no will saying who should inherit and who should handle it. If you run a company, a lasting power of attorney can let someone you trust deal with your personal finances if you are unable to. Your accountant knows the numbers. A will makes sure they pass where you intend.

Questions from J. Dauman clients
Cannot see yours? Ask it on your free consultation call.
I am a landlord and a J. Dauman client. What should my will cover?
Your will should say who inherits each property, or your share of it, and who will act as executor. Executors may need to deal with tenants, rent and a possible sale, so choosing someone capable matters. We can also talk about inheritance tax and whether a trust might help, on a free consultation call.
I own a limited company. What happens to my shares if I die?
Your shares form part of your estate and pass under your will, subject to the company's articles and any shareholder agreement. Without a will, they pass under the intestacy rules, which may not suit the business. We can draft your will so your shares go where you intend, and speak to your accountant if you wish.
Can my accountant be my executor or attorney?
You can appoint any adult you trust, including a professional. Some people choose a family member and a professional together. The right choice depends on how complex your affairs are and who you trust to act. We can talk through the options on your consultation call before you decide.
