Home Instead
Home care for older people. In the UK since 2005.
Home Instead and Will Solicitors
Home Instead provides care at home for older people, so they can keep living independently where they feel most comfortable. It came to the UK in 2005 and now runs through more than 255 locally owned offices, each independently owned and operated. Its trained Care Professionals offer companionship, personal care, overnight and respite support and live-in care, along with specialist help for people living with dementia, Parkinson's and other conditions. Across the network, Home Instead reports around 10,000 Care Professionals supporting clients and their families.
We have teamed up with Home Instead because the people who care for others all day rarely find time to sort out their own affairs. As a member of Home Instead staff, your first consultation call with us is free and there is no obligation. Our fees are fixed and published, from £150 + VAT for a single will or £275 + VAT for a pair of mirror wills, and you know the price before any work starts. One short call can cover your will and a lasting power of attorney, fitted around your shifts.
Looking after the people behind the organisation
You spend your working days with people whose families are making hard decisions about care, money and the future. You see first hand what happens when someone loses the ability to decide for themselves and nobody has the legal authority to step in.
A lasting power of attorney means the people you trust can act for you if that day comes. A will makes sure your home, savings and anything you own go to the people you choose. Many carers work shifts and put everyone else first. This is a chance to spend a short call putting your own affairs in order, with a named adviser who explains each step in plain English.
How we can help you and your family
Every service starts with the same free consultation call.

I work for Home Instead. Who can use this service?
Any member of Home Instead staff can book a free consultation call, whether you are a Care Professional, in the office team or a manager. Your partner can join the call too if you want mirror wills. We talk through your situation, explain your options and confirm the fixed fee before any work starts. There is no obligation to go further.
I support clients with dementia. Should I think about an LPA for myself?
Many care staff tell us their work made them think about it. A lasting power of attorney lets you choose who makes decisions about your health, care or money if you ever cannot decide for yourself. It has to be made while you still have capacity, so it is something to arrange in good health rather than in a crisis.
I work irregular shifts. How does the consultation call fit around that?
You book a time that suits your rota. The call usually takes around half an hour and you can take it from home. Your named adviser asks about your family, your property and what you want to happen. You then approve a draft before anything is signed, so you can read it at your own pace.
Can I make a will and an LPA at the same time?
Yes. Many people arrange both together because they cover different things. A will deals with what happens after you die. An LPA covers decisions while you are alive but unable to make them. Your adviser can explain how the two fit your circumstances and confirm the fees for each on the call.
It all starts with one free call
You talk it through with a named member of our team. We tell you what you actually need and what it will cost, and nothing goes ahead until you are happy.

- STEP 1Pick a time that suits youChoose a slot in our calendar, including evenings and Saturdays. It takes a minute and there is no form to fill in first.
- STEP 2Get a few things togetherWe tell you what to have to hand. Usually the names and addresses of the people you want to appoint and inherit, and a rough idea of what you own.
- STEP 3Approve your draftOnce you are happy with what we discussed, we prepare a draft for you to read and approve before anything is signed.
